Walk It Like You Talk It

Walk It Like You Talk It

For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV

Question: Have you ever been in conversation with someone and all they do is talk about faith and how they believe? You ever notice when something happens how that faith disappears?

It’s one thing to talk about having faith, but where are we when it comes to walking or living by faith?

Walking by faith means that we fully trust the plan that God has set for our lives. This is demonstrated through obedience. We may not always understand what God is doing in our lives, but faith allows us to follow through.

Our situations or circumstances may look one way but faith kicks in and causes us to move beyond what we see.

Look at it this way. You can make threats all day long to a person to make them fear you, but when it comes to putting actions behind those words and you can’t back them up; then all you did was made idle threats.

So it is with faith. You can talk it all day long, but if you never put any actions behind those words, then its just words. James 2:20 (KJV) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Today’s Scripture Focus: James 2:14-26

REFLECTION & RESPONSE:

  1. Have you been all talk and no actions to show for your faith?
  2. When’s the last time you’ve put your faith into action?
  3. Do you trust God enough to walk or live by faith no matter what it looks like?

Make a decision today, that you will begin to walk it like you talk it.
